In 2016 the Evangelical Covenant Church was looking to plant a church on the Monterey Peninsula. Through some dear friends, Justin and Maddie Noseworthy were contacted by the ECC to discuss the possibility of a church plant in the Monterey area. Facing a transition into a new season themselves, Justin and Maddie were praying for God to open and close doors however he saw fit. As the church plant conversation continued, those involved felt like God was moving in powerful ways to plant another church on the Monterey Peninsula. The hope was to participate in the good work that so many other churches in the area were already doing. On August 13, 2017 All Things New had its very first meeting in a home in Monterey and a new church was born. Today the All Things New family continues to walk alongside the God who is making all things new in the hope that his renewal will come to Monterey and all the whole world.
The Evangelical Covenant Church (ECC) is a rapidly growing multiethnic denomination in the United States and Canada with ministries on five continents of the world. Founded in 1885 by Swedish immigrants, the ECC values the Bible as the word of God, the gift of God’s grace and ever-deepening spiritual life that comes through a faith with Jesus Christ, the importance of extending God’s love and compassion to a hurting world, and the strength that comes from unity within diversity.
The Evangelical Covenant Church is:
