Intergenerational Justice Initiative

We believe that justice plays a central role in the mission of God. In fact, justice is one of the five core practices of our church. Jesus began his public ministry by declaring justice using Isaiah 61:1-2, and we're committed to continuing his work.

Our Goals

Our goal is to work together across generations to promote justice throughout the Monterey Peninsula. We want to:

  • Foster commitment to justice

  • Encourage intergenerational collaboration

  • Equip others to intentionally and regularly "do justice" (Micah 6:8)

Our Initiative

We have a variety of ways to accomplish these goals, including:

  • Quarterly events focused on restorative justice involving both the ATN congregation and the broader community of the Monterey Peninsula.

  • Promoting justice through awareness, advocacy, and action.

We believe that intergenerational collaboration is key to ensuring that we leave the world a better place. We especially welcome youth involvement and leadership, as they bring a unique perspective on what it means to bring justice to the world.

If you're unsure about how you want to get involved in our Intergenerational Justice Initiative, we invite you to take our survey to help you figure out the best way to contribute.
