I grew up in a Christian family of 7 in Southern California (Pasadena) I became a Christian at the age of 5 in a local Christian children's club. Although I don’t remember that specific event, I have the feeling of God always being there and present in my life.
I attended Pasadena City College and graduated from Westmont College with a degree in Psychology. After college I worked in the admissions office of Occidental College for two years. Rich and I were married in 1982 and moved to a small town in the central valley where he was a pastor for many years before moving on to teach Middle School science for the rest of his career. I continued my education and earned a MA in Communication Disorders. I have since worked as a Speech Language Pathologist in various public school districts, with a few years off to raise our two children Sean and Elizabeth. When Rich retired in 2017 we moved to Monterey. I am currently working in the North Monterey County Unified School District. Living here is amazing and you will often find me hiking in the forest or on the beach. I love to take pictures of the beautiful landscapes that abound here on the Peninsula. My other loves are anything to do with music and art.
Having grown up in the church I have taught Sunday School, participated in worship music, lead studies, served on boards etc. My passion has been working with and leading women in studies and in relationship building. I feel that God has given me the gifts of listening (it helps to be an introvert) and encouragement I love the saying that we are all “just walking each other home”
I am willing to meet on zoom or socially distanced and masked outside.
